Comment:
With the advances in CT angiography and near seamless indications between
CTA and MRA, please evaluate expanding the current code set to include
those from the MRA list, too, for the appropriate anatomical studies.
Since the CTA code 75635 includes a CTA of the abdomen and lower
extremities, the current allowed codes do not cover peripheral vascular
disease indications. Would it be better to move this code into the lower
extremity section or into a new section to incorporate both abdominal and
peripheral indications?
Response:
MRA uses are per national regulations. Thus we cannot make the lists exactly the same without restricting CT. At present, the use of CT for all vessels does not appear to be standard yet. At present, it does not seem necessary to move sections.

Requests were received for the addition of multiple ICD-9-CM codes.
